Bayern have agreed personal terms with the Eintracht Frankfurt left-back, according to multiple reports (1) (8). The problem: Frankfurt want €60m, Bayern are offering €50m. A €10m gap that feels familiar (3).
Saibari negotiations set for next week
Bayern and PSV will sit down next week to negotiate Ismael Saibari's transfer. The fee is expected to land above €47m and all parties are confident a deal gets done (9). Vincent Kompany and Max Eberl see the Moroccan as a central attacker, not a winger, so don't expect him to solve the wide depth issue (4). Saibari is currently completing his medical with the Morocco squad in the US (Reddit).
Supervisory board killed Eichhorn deal
This one stings. Florian Plettenberg reports that Bayern's entire sporting staff wanted to sign Hertha BSC talent Kennet Eichhorn, but Karl-Heinz Rummenigge and Uli Hoeneß vetoed the move over a €10m signing bonus. Ibrahimović gets his shot
Bayern plan to keep Arijon Ibrahimović around next season in a Raphael Guerreiro-style rotational role rather than loan him out again (2) (6). With the bench looking thin, a low-cost depth piece in attack is sensible. Whether he's ready is another question.
