Estêvão has revealed doctors are stunned by his recovery. A new thigh scan showed no remaining lesion, despite earlier expectations he would need surgery.
"He showed me the exam image and said he didn't see any lesion anymore," the Brazilian told a church gathering in Franca on 31 May. "He said he doesn't know what happened, because in this timeframe it shouldn't be that well structured."
The winger added doctors were puzzled why surgery was ever recommended. The timeline for his return remains unclear, but this is the best news you could have hoped for heading into the summer. (1)
