You could fill a column with the Mason Greenwood headlines alone. "Gives his word to Fenerbahçe for €50m" ran the Dutch reports (7). The club denied it within hours (11). Then board member Feridun Geçgel was reportedly on his way to France anyway (23). The official line and the smoke do not match, and Turkish transfer windows rarely run on official lines.
Here is what matters: Fenerbahçe are hunting a striker, and they are hunting at a level that forces denials. Five names are on the list, the club has confirmed as much (32). Dusan Vlahovic was offered by his agent (31). Mohamed Salah was approached and asked for double the amount (38). A Chelsea forward who spent last season on loan at Bayern Munich is in the frame (36).
