Iraola sets out his Liverpool vision
Andoni Iraola wants you to feel it. The new Liverpool manager laid out his philosophy in clear terms, and it is exactly what the Kop wants to hear. "Supporters have to identify with what they see on the pitch," Iraola said. "Sometimes it's not about just putting a ball in the top corner. They can run, they can fight for the balls, they can press, they can fight until the last line for every situation and when they see this from the players of their team it's easier to get behind that team" (8). He promised to give his team those qualities. No ambiguity.
Wyness: fans will love Iraola's honesty
Former Everton CEO Keith Wyness, of all people, had praise for your manager. Iraola explained he signed a two-year deal because every manager gets evaluated hard at the end of a season anyway. Wyness admired it. "I mean, after every season, managers are evaluated just as hard as anything else" (9). Coming from across Stanley Park, that lands differently.
A winger is coming, Iraola confirms
Iraola has made it official: Liverpool need a winger this summer. Monaco's Maghnes Akliouche is the name in the frame (1). But do not get attached. PSG are firmly in control of that situation and look set to win the race (7). An alternative is already on the table. Benfica's Andreas Schjelderup is a serious option, priced at £68m (6).

Two targets slip away
Crysencio Summerville completed a medical on Tuesday and signed a four-year deal with Al-Hilal. David Ornstein confirmed it (5). Liverpool had been linked. Chelsea are also closing in on Crystal Palace defender Maxence Lacroix for over £52m, another player previously on Liverpool's radar (4).
