Ederson is a Red
Manchester United have completed the signing of Atalanta midfielder Ederson. The deal is done, 100 percent confirmed by Fabrizio Romano (3). He arrives to reinforce a midfield that needed fresh legs, with Casemiro set to move on and competition for Kobbie Mainoo and Manuel Ugarte now arriving in earnest.
Former Liverpool midfielder Don Hutchison didn't hold back on the signing: "He's the player I thought Liverpool would have got when Fabinho left. Outstanding player" (1). A ringing endorsement from across the rivalry.

Mazraoui reflected on Morocco's extraordinary run to the semi-finals last time out: "Everybody was free in their head. We knew we had a strong team. We knew we could do something, but we never expected to be in the semi-final. So that was a big surprise for us, I think for the whole world, and we enjoyed every minute of that" (2).
No surprises this time, he faces Brazil with the weight of expectation.
Balde battle with City
United are going head-to-head with Manchester City for Barcelona left-back Alejandro Balde. Luke Shaw's fitness remains a question and Patrick Dorgu needs competition, so left-back depth for a Champions League campaign is a priority.
Technical director Jason Wilcox is working behind the scenes to strike a deal, though Barcelona won't make it easy (4).
