Ten Hag slams Dutch football in first comments since United exit
Erik ten Hag is back, and he is not holding back. The former United boss has taken over as technical director at FC Twente and used his unveiling on Thursday to tear into Dutch football. "We hebben het aardig verknald," he said, roughly: we messed it up pretty badly (5).
Ten Hag pointed at the Eredivisie and the national team setup, saying the standard has dropped across the board. It is the first time he has spoken publicly since leaving Old Trafford.

United face Rosenborg in a pre-season friendly. The big story is in the squad list: 15-year-old JJ Gabriel has been called up by Carrick (6). The academy talent, already being compared to Arsenal's Max Dowman, could make his first senior appearance.
