Carmo return gathering pace after Marmol exit
David Carmo looks to be on his way back to Piraeus. The Portuguese center-back is close to a return to Olympiacos, with both Greek and Portuguese outlets reporting the move is advancing (1) (2).
The timing is no accident. Mika Marmol is gone, Feyenoord sealed that deal, and the club are moving quickly to fill the gap. Carmo, currently at Porto after a loan at Oviedo, knows the league and knows what Bartzokas demands.
Nothing is signed yet. But the noise from both sides of the deal says this is close.
