Maffeo deal nearly done
Olympiacos are closing in on Pablo Maffeo as the direct replacement for Kostinia at right-back. The 28-year-old Spaniard, most recently at Mallorca, is expected to join in a deal worth around three million euros (1). Maffeo brings La Liga experience and fits Mendilibar's profile: aggressive, high-intensity, and ready to contribute immediately.
Mendilibar's midfield targets still developing
Unai López remains on the radar, but the Rayo Vallecano midfielder is not a done deal yet. Mendilibar knows him well from Spain and sees him as a strong fit for the squad. The club is also tracking at least one other midfielder and a pacey winger, Adrián Liso has been evaluated, while searching for a Greek left-back to add domestic depth.
