Unai López deal progressing
Olympiacos are in advanced talks to sign Rayo Vallecano midfielder Unai López. The 29-year-old Spaniard is José Luis Mendilibar's top target, and negotiations will conclude after Wednesday's Conference League final. Crystal Palace were also in the mix, but Olympiacos have moved ahead in the race (2).
López brings La Liga experience and fits the profile Mendilibar wants in midfield, tidy on the ball, defensively responsible, and available at a reasonable fee.
Mármol on the radar
Your club are also tracking left-footed centre-back Mika Mármol, who is set to leave Las Palmas as a free agent. Celta Vigo and Espanyol are in the hunt too, while Barcelona retain a sell-on clause that could complicate any deal (4).
With David Carmo's future still uncertain, Mendilibar is building a shortlist of defensive options. Mármol, 24, is valued for his ball-playing ability and could be a smart pickup on a free transfer.
