Chatzidiakos is a PAOK player
Pantelis Chatzidiakos has signed for PAOK. The deal was finalized Saturday, with the Greek centre-back joining from Copenhagen (2). Cagliari had also been in the mix, but PAOK got it done. The club posted a welcome video as the announcement went live (2). A proper reinforcement for the back line, and one that adds a Greek international to the squad.
Striker deal hijacked at the last minute
A forward had agreed terms with PAOK, bags almost packed, then a club from outside Europe swooped in and took him (1). No name confirmed yet, but it stings. PAOK thought they had him wrapped up, only for a late bid to change everything. The search for a striker continues.
