Lovren departs as Elustondo deal nears for PAOK

Lovren leaves after two seasons

Dejan Lovren and PAOK have parted ways. The club announced the departure on Wednesday with a short video and the message "Thank you, Dejan" (2). The Croatian centre-back spent two seasons at Toumba. His exit frees up a non-EU squad slot and wages ahead of the summer window.

Elustondo close to a three-year deal

Aritz Elustondo is on his way. Spanish reports confirm PAOK and the Real Sociedad centre-back are nearing a final agreement on a free transfer (3). The deal would run for three years. The 32-year-old brings over 250 La Liga appearances and would give Alessio Lisi an experienced option in central defence.

Lisi era begins

New manager Alessio Lisi has arrived in Thessaloniki. Sporting director Leo Matos met him at the airport. Lisi takes over a squad that finished third in the league with 64 points and a +34 goal difference. Club captain Vieirinha is working with Lisi and Matos to shape the squad for the new season.
