Leipzig away on Tuesday
PSV go to RB Leipzig on Tuesday, 21:00 CEST, for a Champions League night at the Red Bull Arena (4). It is the follow-up to the 2–0 home win over Heerenveen on Friday (3). Leipzig have had a messy but interesting start to the season, and this is the game where PSV find out what that is worth (8).
Injuries will shape the team sheet. Kiliann Sildillia, Assan Ouédraogo, Chris Baumgartner, Peter Gulacsi and Willi Orbán are all on the Leipzig side of the team news, while PSV's list in the preview runs long: Ricardo Pepi, Alassane Pléa, Marc Guiu, Paul Wanner, Adamo Nagalo, Sam Lammers, Maarten Vandevoordt and Ridle Baku (4). Peter Bosz picks from what is left.
Second, two points behind Feyenoord
Feyenoord beat AZ and took top spot, so PSV sit second on 19 points from 8 games with a goal difference of +16 (1). The 2–0 over Heerenveen on Friday was not pretty. Heerenveen created plenty and scored none; PSV were ruthless (7). Nacho Ferri and Javi López were the names in it (1).

Obispo stayed on the pitch
Armando Obispo was already on a yellow in the Heerenveen game and avoided a second one. PSV got away with it (5).
Benfica back for Bajraktarević
Benfica are interested in Esmir Bajraktarević again (2). PSV are in a strong position because his contract runs to 2029, but a club of that size coming back for a second look is worth watching (2).
Drommel settled at Twente
Joël Drommel has left PSV for FC Twente and is living with his old host family again (3). Erik ten Hag wanted a keeper to compete with Lars Unnerstall, and Drommel is that man (3).
What comes after Leipzig
ADO Den Haag away in the Eredivisie on Saturday, then Porto away in the Champions League on Tuesday 20 October, then Feyenoord at home on Sunday 25 October.
Fan reactions
The subreddit is keeping count, and the count is about goals. One thread points out Guus Til is PSV's current top scorer on 5, ahead of Sven Mijnans on 4 and Ricardo Pepi on 3. With Pepi on the injury list for Leipzig, that scoring spread is the talking point.
