United lead the race for Wanner
Manchester City have started work on a move for Paul Wanner. The English club have their eye on him as they rebuild their midfield, with a deal targeted for 2027 (2). PSV are holding out for €45–50 million, and Wanner is under contract until June 2030 (2). City are also looking at Phil Foden, Rayan Cherki and Noah Fernandez in the same planning (2). It is a rumor, nothing signed, but your best young asset is now on a very big club's list.
The defence is the one thing not working
PSV's last home clean sheet was a 3–0 win over Feyenoord on 1 February (1). That is a long time. The pattern is the same as it has been all season under Peter Bosz: goals go in at one end, and they go in at the other too (1). Your team sits second on 13 points with a goal difference of +12, so the attack is doing its job.
Sparta Rotterdam at home
Sparta Rotterdam come to Philips Stadion on Sunday, 13 September, kickoff 20:00 CEST. PSV go in on a run of four straight league wins and a 1–1 draw with Shakhtar Donetsk in the Champions League (2). Then it is FC Twente away on Sunday, 20 September, kickoff 14:30 CEST.
Fan reactions
Over on r/PSV, the mood is less about the first team and more about the academy. Fans are asking where the van Duiven brothers have got to, remembering how they scored for fun for Jong PSV, and wondering what happens to that hype now. It is a thread about patience with young players, and it is worth a read: What's happened to the van Duiven lads?
