Six goals, and the attack finally looks complete
PSV fell behind in the first half at De Galgenwaard and then produced their most complete attacking display of the season. FC Utrecht 1–6 PSV is the scoreline, and it papers over nothing (4). This was 9 points from 9 in the last three league matches, an early deficit flipped, and four consecutive unbeaten games to open the Eredivisie campaign.
The turning point came from Ruben van Bommel, whose equaliser changed everything (19). Guus Til added his first two goals of the season before the break and later told reporters the squad is looking ahead to Ajax with genuine confidence (17). Til has reason to feel good. He now arrives at the big fixtures as a scorer, not just a runner.
This was also a match that revealed the depth Bosz has built. Noah Fernandez, Sven Mijnans, Kodai Sano, Paul Wanner all got on the scoresheet at some stage of a six-goal away win (4). That is not a one-man attack. That is a squad where the second and third options are producing.

The window keeps moving
The goals were accompanied by transfer action, and not slow progress. PSV reached a principal agreement with Sparta Rotterdam for 21-year-old attacker Ayoni Santos at roughly 5 million euros (1) (3). On Sunday morning came the bigger move: Sami Ouaissa, another 21-year-old attacker, agreed terms from NEC for 9 million euros (11).
Two young forwards arriving in the same weekend tells you what PSV think about the title race. They are not standing still at the top of the table. They are buying depth for the autumn, with the Champions League starting in ten days against Shakhtar Donetsk on September 10.
Not everything is a signing to get excited about, though. Joel van den Berg, the 19-year-old attacking midfielder, looks on his way out, with Celtic reportedly closing in and the deal described as imminent (34). And Peter Bosz is deliberately keeping summer signing Lutsharel Geertruida out of the side, saying it has to do with time and adaptation (20). That is an honest manager managing a player through a transition, even while everyone else keeps winning.
What to watch
Saturday, September 5, PSV go to Ajax with the attack in this form. Til called it "a hot one" (17). Then Shakhtar on Thursday, September 10, at 18:45. The Ajax trip is the real test of whether this six-goal display travels beyond Utrecht. Win there and the unbeaten start becomes something more serious.
