PSV 2–0 Heerenveen, and it was not pretty
PSV won 2–0 at home against sc Heerenveen on Friday, and the scoreline flatters you. Guus Til broke the deadlock after 29 minutes, reacting first to a deflected ball (14), and an own goal settled it (8). Kenneth Perez called the football from both teams abominable (4). Peter Bosz was not having the criticism anyway: "The first match after an international break is always difficult. It was extreme this time, because we stayed behind with only four lads at the club. Then I think what the players put on the pitch deserves a compliment" (9) (11) (15) (16).
Cornecion, 18, got his debut
Shuryjano Cornecion came on for his official PSV debut in the Philips Stadion on Friday (3) (6) (7). He is 18. He watched the footage back afterwards and was not kind to himself: "This actually cannot be" (6). Bosz would not hear a comparison with anyone: "I do not want to compare players, not Shuryjano either. That is going to be a very good one" (3).

Bajraktarević pushed Perišić to the bench
Esmir Bajraktarević kept his place and Ivan Perišić did not start. Bosz explained the call straight: "I think he played very well before the international break. Earlier he also replaced Ivan well when Dennis was injured. I think I have to reward that" (5).
Flamingo is adjusting to the bench
Ryan Flamingo was a fixture in the starting eleven last season. Now he watches. He was one of the few in the squad not called up for international duty, and he does not hide that it is hard: "That is difficult" (1) (17).
