Bosz: "If we do that, I think we become champions"
Peter Bosz is not calling this team stable yet. His issue is the goals PSV concede from their own mistakes, and he points straight at the 3–2 away loss to FC Twente on September 20 (4).
"Als wij dat doen, denk ik dat we kampioen worden. Dat is bijna altijd zo," he said (4). If we do that, I think we become champions. That is almost always the case.
That defeat is your only loss in the last five league games: wins over Utrecht, Ajax and Sparta Rotterdam, plus a 1–1 draw with Shakhtar Donetsk in the Champions League.
The international break left Bosz with three fit players
Bosz is frustrated by how long the break ran. He barely saw his squad for weeks and had to work with a heavily depleted group, leaving him with three fit senior outfield players (5).
"Ik kan dat moeilijk met drie jongens nabespreken," he said (5). It is hard to debrief that with three lads.
Nick Olij, Sven Mijnans and Ryan Flamingo were the names caught up in it (5).
PSV could bank €1.24m if Madueke moves
Noni Madueke is drawing interest from Atlético Madrid and Juventus, per The Telegraph (2) (6). The 24-year-old is at Arsenal now, and more clubs are expected to join the chase (6).
If a sale goes through, PSV collect a solidarity payment of around €1.24m (2). That is money for a player who left years ago, and it costs you nothing.
Still waiting on Ouaissa
Sami Ouaissa has not played a single minute since arriving from NEC in the summer (3). Bosz has given an update on where the midfielder stands (3).
Fan reactions
The sub is talking kits and numbers. One thread celebrates PSV wearing a special Coen Dillen shirt against Heerenveen on 9 October, marking what would have been his 100th birthday and 70 years since he scored 43 goals in an Eredivisie season. Another dive into Nations League goals and assists across all 78 games ended with the same note: PSV surprised me.
