PSV refuse to give up on Sano
Your club is not walking away. PSV are still pushing to sign Kodai Sano from NEC despite the impasse over the €18m asking price, and agent José Fortes Rodriguez is playing a key role in trying to unlock the deal (3) (8). Sano wants the move. PSV have even involved goalkeeper Joël Drommel as a potential makeweight in negotiations (2).
Geertruida wants the move
Lutsharel Geertruida is keen. The defender would have no problem agreeing personal terms with PSV if the clubs can find a deal (4). Like Sano, that is the hard part. But the player's willingness matters.
Kostic is dragging his feet
Filip Kostic is making PSV wait. The 33-year-old Serbian left-back is the top candidate for the position, but his definitive yes has not arrived and the move is threatening to become difficult (5) (7).

Salah-Eddine said no
One left-back option is already gone. Anass Salah-Eddine, formerly on loan at PSV, has turned down a return and is heading from AS Roma to Olympiakos instead (6).
Van Rooij race heats up
PSV and Feyenoord are both trying to hijack Ajax's move for Bart van Rooij of FC Twente, a deal valued at around €10m (11). He would be the Sergiño Dest succession plan. Twente teammate Daan Rots poured cold water on the Ajax links: "It's simply not true. I read that Van Rooij had spoken with Ajax, but he hasn't" (11).
Cruijff Schaal on Sunday
PSV face AZ in the Johan Cruijff Schaal on Sunday, August 2, the first real match of the season (9) (10). A chance to start with silverware and set the tone after that 1–3 pre-season loss to Villarreal.
Angeliño lands at Deportivo
Former PSV left-back Angeliño is joining Deportivo La Coruña (12). No emotional homecoming. Just a name from the past moving on.
Fan reactions
The Geertruida link has fans cautiously intrigued but realistic: the thread notes he would not be an easy target despite his willingness. Meanwhile, Salah-Eddine's choice of Olympiakos over a PSV return has drawn a shrug, with one post simply framing it as a lateral move.
