Van Bommel apologised in the Ajax dressing room
Armando Obispo revealed what Van Bommel did after the final whistle. He went straight to the Ajax dressing room to check on Bouwman and say sorry (10). "He was really troubled by it," Obispo said (10).
Obispo, 27, also opened up about his own collapsed transfer this summer (10).
Analysts expect Van Bommel in the Oranje squad
Karim El Ahmadi and Arnold Bruggink both expect Van Bommel to earn his first Netherlands call-up later this month (7) (9). El Ahmadi was blunt: "He gets selected for Oranje" (7).

Ajax coach on the incident
Míchel Sanchez explained his substitution of Tolu Arokodare after an hour, with Kasper Dolberg replacing the Nigerian striker (13). Arokodare scored and was a target point despite the 1–3 defeat (13).
