Norway send Brazil out, Neymar says goodbye

Brazil out, Norway 2–1 in the round of 16

Your World Cup is over. Brazil 1–2 Norway on Sunday, eliminated in the round of 16. Erling Haaland scored both Norwegian goals (1). It is Brazil's second-worst World Cup campaign ever. Neymar, on the pitch afterwards, was clear: "Now it's over. I started here, I closed here" (7). Ancelotti stays on for the 2030 cycle. "The pain is great, but the confidence in what we are building does not change," he said (3).

Neymar's father: 'Keep playing football'

Neymar Sr. posted a public message to his son after the international retirement announcement on Sunday. "Son, keep playing football. Rediscover the joy of having the ball at your feet," he wrote (7). Neymar has not yet responded publicly.

Bruno Guimarães: 'The worst pain of my life'
