Eustáquio volleys Canada past South Africa and into the last 16

Canada are through to the last 16. Stephen Eustáquio volleyed a 92nd-minute winner against South Africa in Los Angeles, a 1–0 victory that sent Jesse Marsch's side into the knockout rounds in dramatic fashion (1). Eustáquio broke down in tears after the final whistle, the moment hitting hard as he thought of his late parents. Marsch called his squad "Canadian heroes" afterwards and said everything from here is a bonus.
