Wahi cleared to face Germany as Liverpool's Diomande bid stalls

Wahi cleared, available for Germany

Elye Wahi is in. After initially being denied a visa to enter Canada over an ongoing spot-fixing investigation, Ivory Coast's striker has now been authorised to travel and join the squad (1) (2). The reversal came in time for Friday's Group E clash against Germany. No details on what changed, but the outcome is what matters: your most in-form forward is back on the table for Emerse Fae.

Liverpool's €90m Diomande bid rejected

Liverpool have made their move for Yan Diomande. €90 million plus €10m in add-ons, and RB Leipzig said no (3). Dialogue remains open, transfermarkt reports, but Leipzig are holding firm. Diomande, 19, was man of the match against Ecuador on his World Cup debut and has already said he will decide his club future after the tournament. PSG are also watching. The noise will only get louder if he delivers again against Germany.
