Ajax in talks with Ounahi

Ajax are talking to Azzedine Ounahi. The 55-cap Moroccan international, currently at Girona, is wanted by the Dutch club after his World Cup performances (1) (2).

Henk Spaan, writing after Morocco's quarter-final against France, noted: "The Moroccan number ten Ounahi, normally dripping with talent, could only threaten once, right before the end." He then floated Ajax as a destination: "By the way, the Transfermarkt value of this Girona player is only 10 million euros. Something for Ajax maybe? Better than Steur" (2).

Morocco's World Cup run is over, but the tournament cemented the Atlas Lions as the strongest African side in the competition.
