Norway beat Ivory Coast 2–1, face Brazil next

Erling Haaland took a different line. He said Norway's chance of beating Brazil is small, whether out of respect or to ease the pressure (2). Brazilian pundit Felipe Melo noticed: "I expected a bit more from Norway today. Haaland is being humble. Brazil are better, they are favourites. But Norway will give their lives on the pitch" (5).

Nusa: I dreamed of facing Neymar as a kid

Antonio Nusa scored against Ivory Coast and now gets a childhood dream. "I dreamed of this since I was a child," he said about facing Neymar in the next round (3).

Drogba fumes over penalty call

Didier Drogba was not happy. The former Ivory Coast star posted on X that it was "shameful" no penalty was given for Nicolas Pépé during the match (4). Norway's win stands.
