Patrick Araújo is the new head coach of the Portugal national basketball team (2). He stays on at BC Marburg, where he led the women's side to a surprising playoff run this season and was named coach of the year last season (2). The dual role starts immediately.

One year to the day since Diogo Jota died, Portugal face Croatia with a quarter-final spot on the line. Roberto Martínez is under fire, commentator André Pinotes Batista says at least ten coaches would do better with this squad.
