Lamouchi reveals Tunisia sacking came without a goodbye
Sabri Lamouchi has broken his silence on the chaotic end to his Tunisia tenure, revealing he was sacked minutes after the 5–1 defeat to Sweden at the 2026 World Cup without so much as a goodbye (1). The Frenchman, appointed in January following Sami Trabelsi's exit, was dismissed before Tunisia had even left the stadium in their opening group match. Lamouchi described a surreal departure where no federation official faced him directly, the decision was simply relayed and he was gone. His 18-day successor Hervé Renard fared no better, lasting two matches before the early elimination.
