Renard leaves Tunisia after 18 days
Hervé Renard's Tunisia tenure is over after just 18 days. "My journey comes to an end," Renard wrote on his Instagram story on Saturday, thanking the FTF for the World Cup opportunity and calling it "an honour to wear Tunisia's colours" (1). He leaves the Carthage Eagles bottom of Group F with zero points, the worst World Cup performance in the nation's history, and follows a pattern of rapid turnover in the dugout since 2024. Renard told reporters after the elimination he wanted to be "free to choose the best project for the future." Sabri Lamouchi and Sami Trabelsi have already surfaced as potential replacements.
